Misc May

We love having cousins come over! This was a cute picture of Greta trying to give Clara a kiss :)
Harvey's been really into exercising and getting muscles and six packs etc. He had to do some reps with a rock on our walk the other day. Haha.

I think this picture is just too sweet. He's such a handsome boy.

We had a birthday party for Mitt and Romy up at Mason and Carrie's house on Cinco de Mayo. It was so fun! Also included a piƱata and a sit up contest between Mitt and Harvey. Harvey did 100. Mitt did 75 or something. He's a good cousin :)

They had a muffin and mother's thing at Harvey's preschool the Thursday before mother's day. They had a cute little table set up and decorated and they sang a few songs. Too cute. Then they had the Mom's and kids come up as they read their paper of answering questions about mom. I loved being able to be there!

Got some plants for our yard finally! Baby steps. Maybe next year we will add some color. I planted a bunch of veggies too and was sooo excited about it. It felt good to plant and made me want a real garden. (Delayed blogging update - But then all of them died. I didn't know Tanner had sterilized one area where I planted, the carrots aren't growing and my cucumber plant in another section of the yard completely disappeared. Not sure if that was Rozzi or a child or what. One tomato plant looked like it had been unearthed some and so I tried to get it down further so we'll see what happens. It's not all the way dead. So I have one tomato plant that's growing. I hope it's the regular tomatoes and not the grapes - I love both but would prefer the big chunky ones homegrown).

I just think Lottie looks so dang cute sitting on the edge of the couch. Tanner sent me these while I was working. It kind of made me sad thinking of a day when her tiny perfect little legs would reach all the way to the ground.

I ended up getting scheduled to work on Mother's Day this year. Dumb. So we went and celebrated the day before. We got take out from PF Changs and ate at Farmington Station, the kids played, and then we got cookie dough at Dough Co. Holy, so good!

This girl LOVES her blanket! She was running up and down the house and caught a glimpse of her blanket in the washer (I had tried to sneak it in without her noticing) and she LOST it. She just cries in front of it yelling "banken". So cute, sad and funny.

She dressed herself :)

I had been worried about Lottie having a milk allergy or something for awhile. We tried so hard to restrict her from all dairy because it seemed to make her really constipated. But then even when we wre doing great, she still was having issues. So then I didn't know what was going on and we already had an appointment with the allergist that we had been waiting for for 2 months, so I kept the appointment, they checked her for a bunch of food allergies, and she doesn't have any! Hooray! I think it was worth the $200 appointment to just know that she can eat whatever, we should somewhat limit dairy, because it can be constipating and then just be good about adding fiber and mirilax to her diet here and there. Yay for cookies and ice cream and string cheese and yogurt (which she asks for like every morning now - she loves it! And the way she says it is the cutest thing ever).

Trying out the local Sonic 3D that has been around for a bit and they ask every time we drive by there they ask when we are going to go there. Harvey is mad because he wanted to sit on the counter all by himself.

Tanner sent me this picture at work. When we were looking at fish to get for the fish tank, he drew this picture and was "happy crying" because he was so proud of himself. Hahaha. SO cute!

Preschool graduation! He did about the same as his last program - didn't really sing. But this time he had the grumpiest/saddest/I'm going to murder someone face the whole time. It was so weird. He didn't get very animated either but sort of participated. I took lots of pictures because his face was so funny. And then he was a turd trying to get pics of him with his teachers. Oh well :) Onto Kindergarten!!

And a few things that we got at graduation that I didn't really want to hang on to but want the pictures!

See - he can smile and be a darling little graduate!

We got to go to our first "gala" :) A doc I work with helps run a non-profit for a village in Haiti and they were raising money for a school. So we went, had dinner, spent some money, won some prizes, and had a great time! It was a lot of fun!

Memorial day - Harvey lost his first tooth!! I helped him go to the bathroom and I noticed he had some dark spot in his mouth. I thought it was a bit of chocolate or something on his tooth and was SO shocked when I discovered he had lost his tooth. He got the most bewildered, amazed look on his face when I told him it was GONE! He has been so funny about it and showing everyone and thinking he's pretty cool! No idea what happened to it. Probably swallowed it eating Swedish fish or something. I didn't even know it was on the brink of coming out! And I do brush his teeth!

Some other pics from memorial day. Lottie was sad because she woke up and I didn't know it because she was on the opposite side of the church. So she had been crying for a hot minute. We had to do our creek party at the church because of weather. It ended up not being that bad of a day, so we probably could have gone up. But it worked out okay. It was nice to be able to sit and play games and play pickleball etc and not worry about kids falling into rivers. Although it was sad not to be in the mtns. We are going to go later this summer. Also good, though because my kids got sick! They were kind of sick already, fevers, coughs, etc. Greta was a little pooper, and then the whole week I had off and was looking so forward to to get stuff done and play with kids, we did NOTHING. Held sick kids, tried to keep the house under control, and watch movies. Lame.

After we got home from the store or something, Lottie immediately went looking for her blanket and this is how far she made it. Poor little pooper.

When the coughs subsided adequately, we went to Mrs. Cavanaugh's chocolate factory and did a little tour. Lottie wasn't a fan, but I thought it was cool and I think Harvey and Greta liked it and they liked the treats they provided and that we got after!

We headed down to my parents on May 31 and my dad was neck deep into cutting this tree down. We helped him get it chopped up and cleaned up. We made pretty quick work of it, which I was impressed, because it was a huge tree and a ton of work!

The house looks so different now without it. I vividly remember the day we planted that tree too and how little it was. Kind of crazy!

These actually were earlier in the month, but here's just some quick videos of Lottie's adorable voice and cuteness!
