Misc April

We busted out of school the Friday before spring break to go hang out down south. My mom and dad were both off work and we wanted to hang out all day! It was a lovely day so we spent a few hours at the new park by their house. So fun!

Heather and Shane invited Harvey to go with them to a rock show in Ogden. He had so much fun and got lots of cool treasures. Heather brought the girls a rock treasure sack to. She's so great!

Happy Birthday Annie!! April 4th we met up to hike Malan's Peak. So much fun. I love this girl.

Fun selfies by Lottie, sent to me from dad :)

Our spring break wasn't super exciting, obviously. But we did go to a park one day for a couple of hours. Trying to check out some of the surrounding fun places to play. I didn't take many pictures though.

I am including this one because Lottie took it and came over to tell me about the bear in the basement. "I'll tell you all about it...as you can see here..." So funny. You kept saying that. "As you can see here, the eyes don't blink cause I cut off the blinker part." You were talking about other stuff that you adjusted by cutting off. Don't know what your obsession with cutting thing is. A little concerning. Ha. I asked why you were doing all that and you said you didn't want it to look like us, you wanted it to look more scary and like a monster. Crazy girl. Oh, and just since I'm refreshing my memory with my notes on you, that same night we made microwave popcorn and watched a movie. You told dad that you liked the popcorn with the yellow juice better (butter. hahah).
We also went to baby animal days during spring break. This was the first year of Farr West doing it so we went to check it out. It was kind of chilly. The animals were fun. Harvey was loving on all the little things!

They had some knights and such there and on horses. I guess there's like a legit thing you can dress up and actually fight and joust and stuff. And like national competitions, etc. Wow.

They advertised a bunch of bounce houses. But by the time we finally made it over to play there they were deflating all of them and saying you had to stay off them. Apparently too many kids had gotten onto them and were pushing air into the blowers and it blew all the circuits. So we had some snacks on the grass for awhile until they got a few of them back up and running. Only about 5 of the 10 they had. But we weren't in a rush and they ran around and did all they wanted to I think.

I have a few cool videos of Harvey flipping off this one. This was his favorite. And this is my favorite pic. The girls both went up to try it and then chickened out once they saw the jump distance from up top. Ha.

Then we played at the fun park for a little bit but it was pretty crowded and I was hungry and ready to be done.

Greta just still seems like a little tiny toddler. Not big enough to be writing things and sounding things out and spelling. It's crazy to me. And so fun. I love her little handwriting and words and everything.

Greta is super nice and when I'm not working she always shares her favorite stuffed animals. And sometimes dad is lucky enough to get his own. Her sharing Belle is a big deal :)

Harvey had a little program at school where they had to research a career of their choice and learn all the things related to it and then they had it open to family to come in and they were all sitting in their with their fancy "uniforms" and we could ask them questions about their job/career. It was pretty cute. Couldn't convince Harvey to pick anything other than an NFL player.

Mimi pulled Greta's top tooth at the game. A little bloody but she was a trooper!
Tanner promised her ice cream if he'd let her pull it. So we all benefited from her bravery!
Um. This is just because Harvey felt like his hair was crazy and he wanted a picture. And he's cute.
Lottie had one final field trip to the Dinosaur Museum and the timing was great so that Greta could go too. It was a lot of fun!

They have been doing science experiments in Greta's class. So we went through a list of options and she picked this one and I got to go to her class to help her show it off. We did shaving cream over water - clouds and air - and then put water colored with food coloring in it and it "saturated" the clouds and looked like rain going through the water. Pretty simple but they all seemed pretty amused by it.
