Misc September

Another fun month! We've had some great weather. Lots of parks and soccer and track and dance, etc.

Greta has been loving school. How adorable is her little self portrait? I love it!

"I have boops!" You have boops? "Yeah, cause I'm Jasmine!"

After dentists last month, they wanted to put some sealants on Harvey's molars. It took like less than 10 minutes. He wasn't a fan of the taste in his mouth. Ha.

Our little diva child.  She's dang cute even with all that sass.

Soccer playdate/practice. Just with Brody at the coaches house. Harvey had a blast. These two are so cute. He played soccer for awhile and then ate pizza.

We have some work to do on spelling and backwards letters but still pretty cute. "Airforce jet" and "missle".

One of the girls took this picture. It's kind of cute I think.
Greta's picture of a mermaid. I LOVE love love the kids drawings.
Sometimes she just wants random pictures taken of her. Please bless she always is this confident and happy with how she looks.
A LONG overdue park day with my friend Steff. I was thinking the weather wasn't quite so hot but it was a scorcher in the afternoon when we went and the kids were all being kind of whiny and not running off and playing like they were supposed to. So the chatting and catch up part wasn't as seamless as we were hoping for. We need to have our kids get together more often!

Ariana's parents, Yoraima and Ernesto had us over for lunch one Sunday. She made arepa's. SOOO yummy. Little meat sandwich things with cornmeal "buns". It was really fun sitting outside playing. They have a tramp and a couple swings and Ernesto and Francisco played soccer. Everything was going swimmingly until Harvey came and whispered to me that Lottie had pooped her pants. TERROR. I ran inside and she was standing right inside the door crying and a few big plops of poop ON THE CARPET. Oh my HECK. I grabbed her and took her to the bathroom and tried to get her clothes off. Poop all streaked down her legs. Poop everywhere. I put her in the tub and went to try and pick up the chunks. There was only a small amount of toilet paper in the bathroom and I knew I was going to need to tell them. I wandered over and let them know what happened. They came in to help. I was apologizing PROFUSELY as best I could in spanish etc. They were so kind of saying it was fine, etc. I wanted to clean the carpet but Lottie was screaming in the bathroom so I went in to try and help her. I washed her in the tub with a new bar of soap Ernesto handed me and poop chunks were going down the drain. I came out to get the other clothes I brought her and Ernesto was scrubbing the carpet. I literally almost DIED. I told him to stop and that I would do that! He said "no no, it's ok, you're my friend". Oh my gosh it could not have been more awful. I bleached their tub and we finally had everything cleaned up. They kept trying to give Lottie some treats and stuff to help her fell better. They were so awesome. It was theeeee worst! But then we sat and finished talking and stayed for awhile longer and I think we are still friends. Ha. Ariana took about 30 of these pictures and sent them to me later. This was happening while poop chaos was going on inside. Ugh.

Just some silly cute pictures of Lottie wearing mismatched mitten/gloves and two hats. I don't even know.

I have been contemplating cutting my hair for years really. But I always get nervous that I'll hate it more short. I've never liked my hair and it had just been long for so long. Tanner liked it long, it just was what I did. But I don't know what was going on but my hair felt like it was getting even thinner than normal thin and it was bad. I decided it was time. So I made an appointment with friend Laura's hair girl and didn't tell tanner and just went with it. I really like it. It's a big change! I don't know that it looks awesome but I just love that it's not getting in the way of everything and doesn't tangle up like crazy and I can leave it down and it's not out of control and it just feels so much better.   I purchased some fancy hair product too to make it all healthy and luxurious.

This was a pretty fun little thing that the ward did. The bishopric planned a "social distancing" water fight. I told the kids it was happening and they all went and got their swimsuits on and made their fortress with all the stuff from the garage. Haha.
We had some neighbor reinforcements show up too.
And then the truck came. They were probably only in front of our house like 10 minutes. But it was sooo fun and funny. Harvey was hilarious. And they had a million water balloons. Harvey was standing back just far enough to not get too wet but then wasn't getting them wet either with our hose.

So I stole it from him and ran in to attack. I don't know how they had so much water but I was SOAKED in seconds. So I retreated. I was laughing so hard. It was really fun and funny. And Harvey was so sad when they kept driving on to the rest of the ward.

This was a good soccer game for Harvey. He scored 3 goals and had some pretty sweet plays! He's pretty fun to watch and has some potential I think!

I still can't get over how cute these little girls are dancing. I LOVE it.

First perks realized of Tanner's job and discounts!
Sitting out on a cold, rainy soccer morning.
A rare and wonderful date night to get some DELICIOUS sushi. Oh man it was so good. Took forever to get to us but it was worth the wait. And then we even strolled Target and without kids...it might as well been a stroll in Paris.

I put all 3 of these silly pictures in because they were being such spazzes and I love their faces in all 3. We went down to Burger Stop for Tanner to pay up on the ice cream he promised Harvey if he scored 2 goals (from the game he got 3 in!).

Also right when school started they sent home a big folder. There was a flier in there for Race Cats...a track thing for elementary kids. I asked Harvey if he wanted to do it and he got REALLY excited about it. So we signed him up. He's been having a lot of fun. He's only mentioned once that he didn't want to go to track again (after one practice) because he said it "tired him out". Haha. Yep - that's the point.

Make up dance class that the girls got to do together. 😍

Park time while G is at dance.
Got a few new Halloween decorations this year. The mantle looks better with candy in the left pumpkin and orange candlesticks in the holder on the right. The tassel thing is from my cute friend Nicole that I babysat alllll growing up.

And finally getting to the Halloween craft my dad cut out for us 2 years ago. Oops. It was fun to do it together and they are so cute and I'm so happy it's finally outside on my porch!

I'm not sure why I need to include so many track pictures. The coach sends them and then I just have to save them.

His face in this one cracks me up.

The picture above is from the game on Laura and my dad's birthday. My mom came up for it and Laura and her family came too. Which was so dang nice. We decided to go out to lunch for Laura's birthday after. My mom is super nice and a super stinker and bought everyone's lunch.
Greta got her Halloween costume and Lottie's hadn't shown up yet but she had to get into her Elsa stuff, of course.

Oh my gosh...when the girls let me curl their hair...I die. SOOOO flipping adorable. We had a birthday party that night at our house and I wasn't sure how it would hold up till then so I documented it. And Lottie's face in the next one is just too cute so I had to put that in here too.

And they let me take a selfie with them that I think turned out perfectly. I posted on my instagram that I was so scared of having girls and not feeling strong enough to raise confident girls...but I am so so happy to have these little women in my life. They teach me so much and are helping me heal and be better and stronger because I want to be that for them. I love them so much.
Happy birthday Dad and Laura!

Park time while Lottie is at dance.

Dumb to put these pictures in but she just looks so cute and her hair still looks awesome and she loves this little grocery cart and being my awesome helper.

And then I had this great idea to hit up Mueller park one more time this year. Tanner wanted to go but we got there a little later than planned. And it was FAR colder than I was expecting. I figured with jackets and fire we would be fine and would have been but kids didn't sit by the fire very good and Harvey refused to put pants on, etc etc. The hotdogs were delish but the fire was super smoky. And the coals were dang hot so a lot of our desserts burned and we had to make lots of remakes. And Lottie was in near poop mode so I made a few bathroom trips with her and then finally just sat with her in the bathroom for like 10+  minutes until she finally went. It was fun and I think the kids enjoyed it mostly but were cold and whatever. Chalk it up to an adventure :) I'm glad we went!

She rarely falls asleep on her own and even more rarely for me. I think this is just the second time. She wanted to do a puzzle but kept laying down on the ground in the kitchen, etc. So I told her to lay on the couch. She didn't and was laying next to it with her legs up on it. So I went into the bathroom and showered and Greta was hanging out with me there. I didn't want to engage Lottie too much because I knew she was tired. She's been kind of a best these days and seemingly needing a nap on the daily. When we came out she was asleep like this so we went downstairs and went through clothes together and let her sleep for a few hours. Glory. Love my sleeping precious kids. Always love the pics of them sleeping and there is never a shortage of them :)
