Halloween

The first of our Halloween activities was pretty early in the month. Pleasant View put on a little carnival thing which was actually pretty fun. Some games, bounce houses, candy cannon, food trucks, trick or treat bags, pumpkins, etc. Harvey didn't want to dress up and he pretty much ran around all on his own, so didn't get many pics of him.

The Wednesday before we made sugar cookies and decorated them. Harvey was feeling pretty sick for the last day or so and missed a couple of days of school. So he didn't really participate in the cookies.

That night the school had a little carnival. Harvey stayed home sick from this too. This is Greta and her friend Harper.

Dress up day for school...Greta was throwing a fit that she couldn't stand in the middle. So...we got more pictures.

I got to help in Lottie's class for their Halloween party. I brought a stuffed spider and made a spider web on some cardboard and we played games with that.
That night Heather went with us to the Creatures of the Night thing that the Ogden Nature Center put on. It was really cool and fun. I thought they did a good job and the kids had fun. It got pretty cold.

Then Saturday afternoon was the party at my parents. It was so fun and my mom made the cutest little things. I loved it all.

We did the dart game outside. Then my mom had a little craft, bingo and haunted mansion decoating.

I thought this was funny - my dad wrapped Shane and Austin's gift cards like this. Clever.

And Aunt Heather brought her cotton candy machine! ALWAYS a hit!

Pictures from Harvey's teacher from their Halloween party day.

Halloween morning I tried making this skeleton thing. I was dumb and accidentally put the frosting on before baking it. Ha. The kids still ate parts of it but most of it ended up in the garbage. Oops.

The kids didn't have school on Halloween so we went to the library and then finally made it to pick out pumpkins and carved them.

Trick or treating was a blast. Tanner planned to stay back and hand out candy and watch the world series game, but it got cancelled and he said there weren't many kids coming by, so he came out and met us a little bit into it. It was such a fun neighborhood. SO many people were getting into it and there were a million kids out. It just felt so festive and fun and happy. Kids got donuts and scones and cotton candy and hot dogs, plus 5+ full size candies or candy bars. So much junk and so much fun!

I'm so happy I was able to be home for all this fun! We loved it all!
