Misc August

RAIN! We had rain and it was GLORIOUS. I actually went for a run in it and it was one of the best run's ever. Just happy. Cool. Wet. Good music. I felt good. (Until the next day and I think I sprained something on my right hip and that has STILL been causing me grief 2 months later). But for the time it was amazing. And I came home and we just played and danced out in the rain for a while.

Lottie is a great sleeping companion, if you need a midnight chinese massage.

Had a little sick boy for a couple days. Fever and vomiting and diarrhea. Poor buddy.
And she's just a crazy sleeper. Not that we need more evidence of this.
Hand me down dresses from Laura C and she was excited about them!

I like the selfies Greta takes.

Our last zoo day. Passes expire this month. So sad. We had so many fun visits there this last year! We went with Natalie Allman and her kids and my sis Laura and her kids. It was way fun.

Cutest brand new baby monkey. Like just a few days old. It was SO fun to watch it. Baby monkeys of all varieties are the best I think.

Lottie is being a giraffe and chomping her leaves.

Is it even a zoo visit if we don't do the carousel?

How cute is this!? Avery and Greta. Dying.
Another Cherry Hill day. This one was a little windy and a bit chillier. We went with Emily Ashby which was fun! My kids love her!

My shopping buddy at Costco.

Amputated leg and MESSY room and WHY is Greta sleeping on the floor like that!?!?

My parents took off to California for a week and Dallin and Laura were kind enough to watch Bogey. We decided to go to the park to play with him and hang out. We had some park races around the soccer goals which was pretty fun.

These girls. Beauties.

We went over to the Kaysville ponds after to walk around. Friend Laura had told me that there is a little rope swing and I wanted to find it. We picked the wrong pond to walk around but we still had a lovely time! It was toasty though.

Soccer season! I signed up to coach Harvey's team. Not sure what I was thinking. Well - I do know. They had asked 3 times before and no one was volunteering and so if they didn't have a coach they'd get farmed off to other teams and then would be sitting out more and I thought that sounded dumb so I said I'd do it. It has been a lot more stress and headache than I expected. And surprisingly enough all these 7 year old boys like to goof off a lot and not listen. Luckily one of the kids dad has helped so much with everything so it's a good team effort in coaching too.

I've been having some fun one on one time with Lottie. Some of it more fun than others. Sometimes gym, sometimes she's playing at home while I clean or take a nap. haha. But this day at the park she was wanting me to face time Tanner like 20 times showing him all the fance climbing she could do. And then she wanted to pose on this tower thing for me to show him. She's cute.

And dance has started again too! Both girls are loving it. Lottie is doing so much better than she was doing at the end of last year. It was kind of a struggle. And of course Greta is ecstatic. She is in her element. Man she loves dance and was SO excited for this to start!
I think I failed to photo Lottie's first day of dance. This is Greta's first soccer practice. PAINFUL. I had low expectations for her playing...
But I was amazed!!! She was super nervous to start the game and go over by her team. But once she got out on the field - something clicked! She was smiling and loving it and aggressive and actually doing a really really good job kicking the ball around! Maybe there's more than just dance in this little muffin.

No pictures of the first game for Harvey. Too busy trying to man coaching and subs and getting them to actually do what we practiced. They play 22 minute halves and the boys were dying. It was really hard to stay up and subs and know who should go in and out. Stressful. They don't have any superstar players - Harvey actually is a really good player but he doesn't have the passion for it. They ran their hearts out and played hard. Just need some work on finishing off with some goals. We were by their net almost the whole game just can't pass and use each other to grab a point.
Annie had Greta after school one day - I actually don't even remember why. But she sent me these fun pictures and I love pictures.

Getting down to our last few Cherry Hill days. We went a lot and loved all of it. We especially loved going with Crew, Lucy and Laura!

Summer ended far too soon, I think. No super crazy exciting adventures but we played hard and enjoyed a lot of fun in the sun and water. Love my peeps!
