Harvey needed some new ski gear and luckily we get some good discounts on even other outdoor gear sites so Tanner picked this out for him and Harvey was so stoked on it. Felt pretty cool and looked pretty cool cruising down the mountain!
Never a shortage of cute sleeping siblings!
Harvey's friend Ryan got a turtle for Christmas and Jessica sent me this
Randomly one day in January, Lottie asked me when she could get her ears pierced. I asked her when she wanted to and she said today. She wouldn't let it go, despite reminding her it might hurt etc etc. She said she didn't care. I tried to take her in the afternoon to get it and they were closed. Tanner was all about it too and she was still saying she wanted to. Greta reminded her they were gonna poke a big needle in her ear. Still didn't care. So Tanner took her after I left for work. She was all smiles and excited and ready. Picked out the earrings she wanted and everything.
And then after the first one she realized maybe she didn't like the needle going through her ear. I was anxiously waiting at work for updates. Apparently there was a big delay and trying to motivate her to let the second one happen.
I ended up face timing around that time and she was good until they got too close. And then was FIGHTING it. These pictures are so sad but also make me laugh a little. Poor thing.
I hung up soon after that and still didn't hear much from Tanner. Apparently she had jerked and so they were really uneven so that side had to get redone. I'm sure you can imagine the pandemonium. Yikes. Poor Tanner too. Eventually he just pinned her to him and they got it done. And then they got ice cream and all was well.
She's been kind of a pill with having to take care of them though. Sheesh.
Harvey has been KILLING it on the slopes this year. He's been having so much fun skiing with Mitt and Payson and Tanner's work buddies who think he's pretty cool. He loves Hayden and Hayden is such a cool kid and is so nice to Harvey. Tanner has had such a good time skiing with him on Saturdays and Harvey has made a ton of progress!
Lottie's faces in these pictures make me happier than 10 happy things. I love that girl.
Laura and Dallin flew out to Virginia to check on a house they want to buy. So I helped with the kids one of the days. Arctic Circle was a good get out place to run around that wasn't our tiny apartment.
I think we had a rough couple days with some issues with Francisco - Ariana's husband who was painting our house and COMPLETELY messed it up and caused a HUGE headache. (Long and painful story). So after a day or two of dealing with that, we picked up girls from being watched at Laura's and checked Harvey out of school and went and got frozen yogurt.
My friend Stephanie Colton works at a flower shop and is a plant lover and genius. She just gave me this bouquet just because. So beautiful and so nice and so thoughtful. She's so great.
Lottie's turn for a date kind of got missed so one morning while Greta was at school we went to Get Air. It was a blast. We had such a good time. She's a good time.
And we made it to the circus again this year. We had tears all around within the first 10 minutes because we weren't paying $20 per kid for a 5 minute elephant ride or $15 to take a picture with bumblebee or ride pony's or something. Or buying crap overpriced toys. I was so irritated at them but then it turned out to be a good time. But notice all the dejected faces of our spoiled turd kids. Ha.
Much better and happier! There was some cool stuff! We loved this girl and guy magic routine where they changed outfits like 10 times and so fast! The hula hoop girl was pretty impressive too. There was lots of gasping and ooing and aah-ing from the girls! I loved them loving it.
Getting to play with our new neighbors...Cooper is in Greta's class but Harvey likes playing with him too!
Tanner and I got to go on an actual date - first one in a long time! My parents got us all season tickets to Desert Star and our first one was Phantom. I thought they said our seats were in the very back which I had said was fine because it's a small theater and there's not really a bad seat. But when we showed up we were FRONT and CENTER. We were both quite nervous about that because they can get kind of interactive and neither of us want or like attention or being put on the spot, etc. Luckily we were fairly well ignored and it was entertaining and lots of fun.
New park opened up by my parents. Big and super fun! The first time we went it was a little colder than we would have liked. Hopefully we get some good play time there when it gets warmer - looks like they have a fun splash pad area too!Laura and Dallin flew out to Virginia to check on a house they want to buy. So I helped with the kids one of the days. Arctic Circle was a good get out place to run around that wasn't our tiny apartment.
And then the next day we met my parents at the Treehouse Museum for more out of the house entertainment and distraction. I took Avery and Leo too cause I was watching them for a bit. (I think the last time we went was when the baby picture of Lottie was taken. Fun side by side!)
Greta actually volunteered and got chosen to take part in their little story time acting out. Such a cute little old lady.
