Misc January

Already the first month of a new year has come and gone. Crazy! It was a good month. I usually don't like January. But I feel like this one was pretty good. High hopes for a new year and good goals that I probably won't accomplish all of...haha...but I'm gonna give it my best.  And these munchkins make all the days hard, happy, exhausting, fun and just generally crazy. Most of the time I wouldn't want it any other way ;)

I wonder if Lottie is going to be as obsessed with warm milk as Harv and Greta are. We go through SO much milk for a family of such little humans. And adults who don't even really drink it.

They got bath coloring tablets for Christmas. The first time we tried it, Great freaked out (she hates bubble baths too...or at least I thinks he still does...haven't tried it for awhile). But now she ALWAYS is saying "boo baa", also known as blue bath. She loves it.

Please please please be best friends and love each other always...
The play room at the gym, which unfortunately has lost it's coolness and now they always want to come out...and Harvey is all about the rowing machine now.

This girl loves her babies.

Posing with Roz...

My friend Steff came up to visit and Oakley brought the coolest stuff ever...PJ Masks costumes! Haha. So cute.
These guys are about 4 days apart. They can get married. Haha.

Trying to find new ways to entertain the masses. It didn't last as long as one would hope...

Fever fatigue and cuddles...

One Saturday we took the kids to the Treehouse Museum. So much fun. They had a sock puppet making craft set up which would have been more fun if they were a little less grumpy by the end and Lottie hadn't been freaking out and Harvey running all over the whole museum. So mostly Tanner and I made them, but I thought it was really fun and they had lots of cool things to use.

I'm sure there aren't any germs on this...

He was running around with another kid - both being police officers. This kid makes friends anywhere he goes. I wish I could do that as easily :)

Mine (Greta's)

Harvey's (dad's) fire breathing dragon...

Date night!!!! Jazz game with Clare and Berrie and Elaine. That's what we gave them for Christmas. Jazz lost big time so game wasn't too exciting but I haven't been to a game for probably 20 years and the whole kidless experience was wonderful!

She's sitting inside a yoga wheel thing. Feeding a baby. Watching Harv do his crazy thing.
I met Brooke at the Tracy Aviary one Wednesday. It was a gorgeous day and they kids had a ton of fun. It was SO cool. I hadn't been there in at least 25 years at least. And it's changed a bit since then ;) Really really fun. We could have played and explored for a couple more hours. Lottie was our rate limiting component. She was not falling asleep so we had to go. And I didn't get a lot of pictures for having to carry or push her along.

She requested her picture be taken here.
Have to try to take advantage of any morsel of snow we get. Harvey loves it. It saddens me we haven't had more.

Harvey is getting really good at drawing and his projects and I don't know why but seeing them make my heart want to burst. So I'm going to take all the pictures of them and put them in the blog. This is one he did at preschool. It's a fire truck. The circle is the hose. And that's him driving and he drew a gas pedal too.
He's done some great ones at primary too. I have a kid in primary and that can draw self portraits. Haha. Its' so awesome. And I never knew how much pride one could feel at a stick figure drawing. He did this all by himself.

Greta is getting a lot better at saying a lot more words and she tries a lot more too. I love it.

Tanner went out of town (Mesquite) for a golf tournament and had a great time. One of the nights he was gone, Heather came over and we made a delicious dinner that he wouldn't appreciate and watched a chic flic. I made a ginger squash soup with leeks and fennel that was AMAZING and she made that beet cream cheese bread. Oh my gosh my mouth is watering just remembering the dreaminess of the meal. We need to make that a more regular occurrence. Oh ya - and we did face masks :)

Another awesome primary drawing.
She always tells me "cheese" which means she wants me to take her picture. Please always be confident and know your beauty!

One of my goals became more a goal after marco poloing with my friend Andrea - just being more grateful. Sometimes I think life feels really hard and painful and exhausting and it can be quite difficult to see joy and goodness. I really need to work on being more positive and recognizing the millions of blessings everywhere. Momming is so HARD. But my goodness - looking at these pics makes my heart feel full and happy and complete and content. We are blessed. And I am grateful for all of those blessed things.
