Greta's 4th Birthday

Our little leapling finally got her real birthDAY!!! We had such a fun time celebrating her. She is such a joy! Sooo dang sweet and a great helper and tries so hard to please and be a good listener. She loves playing "frozen" and "mom and sister" games. She's funny. And she's advancing so much this year in preschool! She is silly and has the cutest laugh and the best smile and loves to have fun and just LOVES. She loves life and her family and her grandparents and cousins and friends. She is a light for sure.

She got to open a few presents from us in the morning.

And she requested French toast for breakfast so I got the fancy cinnamon bread from Great Harvest.

She helped me make the cake layers the day before but I got it decorated after breakfast. She really wanted toys on it so it was nice she got some little mermaids for a present - she picked 4 to put on there. I was pretty happy how it turned out. And the frosting and the cake recipe was AMAZING too...just fyi. Sally's baking addiction coconut cake.

We put Lottie down and I took her and Harvey to the park. It wasn't as warm as I wanted...we didn't even grab a jacket for her. But it was super fun. Not having Lottie gave me a lot more ability to interact and play with them so we ran around and played pirate ship and hide and seek and chasing etc etc. It was so fun! And her face in all these just sums up her personality I think. So sweet and happy and silly.

She decided months ago she wanted her party to be at the "swimming pool with the yellow slide"...aka the Clearfield Aquatic Center. She wanted all her cousins to come so we invited everyone from both sides and her best friend Lucy (and Crew and Laura). We had pizza and fruit and veggies and water and it was YUMMY! Then lots and lots of super fun swimming and of course many times down the yellow slide! (Lottie went down a few times too and loved it!) Harvey tried going by himself but the lifeguard stopped him and said he had to be able to swim across the pool you drop into and so apparently (we were in the room and heard this from Carson who apparently saw it...) he jumped in and did it. Haha. Pretty impressive!

Then another break for presents and cake! She was VERY spoiled!

I made a big "4" picture collage. I wish I would have gotten a better picture of it. But going through all her pictures of the last 4 years was SO fun. Sooo many precious little pictures of her and her big scrunchy nose smile. She was such a happy baby and is still just so fun! (she still has moments though...just to keep it real)

It was so nice of everyone to come and support Greta. She felt so loved and had such a good day! We love our family and we can't say enough good about this girl! We are so happy she is ours! Happy Birthday little leap girl Greta!
