Harvey's 6th Birthday

Oh this boy. How is he 6!? I realized this year that a 1/3 of his life at home is now over. And that felt significant and sad. But he's also so fun. He's really funny. And wise. And interested in things and learning about stuff (the titanic, komodo dragons, volcanos, etc etc). And he's really smart. (I do have to say that he might be going through a slightly obnoxious phase too - a lot of flinging himself on the ground when he gets told no or when he has to clean his room or do his homework. Or when he doesn't get a toy. And a lot of thinking he can tell us no when he doesn't want to do stuff or doing the thing we say no to because he wants to. That's a phase, right??? I hope so!)

We took little squishy "mochi" toys into his class for his bday. He's so handsome!

He wanted to go to the fun center for his birthday again. We didn't do a huge party for him but he picked one friend (Heath, from his class) to take and we played hard. He had a blast! And we won tons of tickets - mostly because of Tanner getting the jackpot on that one game that you have to stop the neon light in between the two little arch things.

These boys kept running all over the place and away from me so pics of them were hard to come by.

He also wanted to hit up the air force museum. So we did that too. Carson came with his girls and my parents came with Logan (Clara and Laura were sick...dang it). We had fun but didn't quite have enough time...especially for my dad who really wanted to see and read everything more than small children just want to run around and glance at everything. He got to pick out a little toy too.

I LOVE this birthday boy!

Then back to our house for tacos (his favorite) and cake and ice cream and family!

He was pretty excited about this cake. I think the dogs are what did it :) He's loving green these days too so that was fun. I had fun making it and felt pretty happy with how it turned out considering my lack of skills. Just don't compare it to what I was copying. Haha.

We love this boy. So happy to have his spunk and silliness and everything else that comes with him in our lives! Happy birthday Harvster!
