Sod Party...and a completed backyard!

OH HAPPY DAY!!! The day we went to rent the trencher (a Monday), we called to order sod...hopeful for the coming Saturday. Well...much to our dismay sod was 2+ months out. We found one place that could have it to us in about 3-4 weeks and so we went with that. We took some time to get the final touches done with sprinklers and regrading and such and then we waited. And then the day arrived.
My dad and Heather were there first to help. It was SUCH a hot day. Heather stayed awhile and then Tanner's cousin and his 3 boys showed up to help and our neighbor came over too. So we had a lot of hands and it made it go SO quick. Thank GOODNESS!

We smoked some wings and had some food after. It was glorious. It looked so good and I couldn't believe the day had finally come. This project had been SOO stressful to me. I don't even know why. But it was very emotionally taxing every step of the way. Dumb. But SUCH a major relief to have it done.

It looks sooooo GOOD!

And then we found a table we liked at Costco and almost missed out on the chance to get it. It was out of stock at almost all the costco's in the area and we got one of the last display's down in Salt Lake. Phew!! I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do! Fun little fire in the middle too.
And the FINAL addition - an essential one - a big ol' umbrella! This came a couple weeks after grass...and you can see how nice the grass is coming in. We only have a few bad spots but there's already some sprigs of green growing up through there so hopefully eventually it will all be filled in. Heaven heavenly glorious finality.
