We had some pretty great weather in October. It was so great. We tried to make the most of it :) Started the month out with a glorious trip to the zoo with Laura and Crew and Lucy and Laura's sister and one of her boys.
Making a Christmas list from the stuff in the gift shop. Haha.Crew had his birthday party at Get Air and we had a great time there except for a little collision between Harvey and Dad and a sprained ankle from G. Oops. Could have been worse I guess.
These girls are really the cutest together. They play sooo good together and even though they do fight a bit, it's pretty minimal compared to how good they get along. I LOVE IT.
Harvey made this giant Minecraft poster himself. He picked the pictures and then colored them and I cut them out for him. But then he taped all the big pieces together and created the masterpiece. He even took it to school to show it off. He's so cute.
That fluorescent slime is just marshmellows from Lucky Charms. No big deal. 😦
Greta wanted to trace me in chalk after preschool one day. So she stood by her masterpiece and then wanted to take a picture of me by it too. And then we have so many cute pictures of Lottie doing her birthday date with Gram and Pop I had to include many of them. She had such a great time. I love this tradition. Chick Fil A and then picking out her toy (or dress up dress) and fun story time and phone time at their house. Then Kangaroo Zoo!
Another zoo day with my mom and sister Laura. So fun again.
This was super cute to watch. Trunk loves. |
I'd never seen the reptiles so active. It was because it was right at feeding time and I don't think we've ever been in around that time. They were all moving about a ton knowing food was coming. And then we caught a few of them right as they got their mice. Pretty intriguing and gross to watch.
Ariana wanted me to drive down to Lehi with her to go pick some stuff up at her work. She didn't want to go that far alone. So the girls and I went and picked her up and we ate at this AMAZING Venezuelan restaurant and had a nice drive of trying to communicate. Haha. I know I have learned a ton this year and should be proud of how much I have learned just studying on my own and not really being immersed in it at all, but I'm still so impatient and frustrated by how hard it is for me still to understand things and especially say when I want at the right time. I always get more flustered in real time. Saying things in Spanish in my head always is on point and correct but when I try to communicate I start making all sorts of dumb errors. Oh well. Just need LOTS more practice. Anyway...it was fun :)
Their unofficial team picture. It was a fun fall season. Hopefully they'll get to play in the spring too.
Park injury. He was jumping around on some picnic tables and I don't know what happened exactly but he smacked his eye corner into the corner of a table. The picture doesn't show quite how quick it bruised and swelled.
Or what a good shiner he had a few days later and for awhile.
I love this picture so much. Always a plethora of sleeping pictures but this one is just extra precious and sweet. So close together and they look so tiny!
Just sticking this in here because we never got the soccer pictures we paid for last season. But his coach brought this one over sometime in October. So here it will stay forever.
Painting our rocks to go in the foundation of the Layton temple.
Tanner's is top left, Harvey's in the middle, mine top right, then Lottie and Greta obviously. Greta did hers 100% herself. Even her name. Harvey had me do the writing but told me what to put. Lottie did all her's but her name. It was fun :)
Then we did the temple tour the next afternoon with Clare and Berrie. It was cool. They talked a lot more about the family that donated the land and the pioneer stories with that than much about the actual temple. They did give some cool facts about it and it was interesting and glad we did it, but wasn't exactly what I was expecting.
She doesn't fall asleep randomly very often unless it's in the car. But she did this day and it was pretty cute and sweet. She slept like that for a long time!
