Harvey's 7th Birthday

This was the cake Harvey requested. Sort of. It was fun to make. The lighting at my house wasn't very good so that's why there's another one that P Nat took at Clare and Berrie's. We had a little party at their house for the February birthdays at the beginning of the month. But Harvey wanted to share his cake with the cousins.

Happy Birthday to Mimi and Emery and Harvey!

The day before his birthday we got to take a birthday treat to his class. She lets you read a favorite book. Harvey picked a fossil book that came with his fossil dig Christmas present and he wanted me to read about the Mosasaur.

EARLY presents. Tanner had to work early and Harvey wanted to get up early before he left to do presents. He woke up on his own. He was PRETTY excited. The girls were still sleeping. He got a Star Wars lego thing, 3 new dinosaurs (mosasuarus, carnatorus and T-rex) and a backpacking backpack (more a presents for me!) He seemed pretty happy with it all, which was fun. He got donuts for breakfast too. I went back to bed after he opened them and he stayed up and played.

He didn't want to go to school on time so he stayed and played longer and then I took him for his Valentine's Party...otherwise we probably would have let him stay home all day.
Pretty sweet submarine from Crew.
I made breakfast cake for a snack for him so they had that after school and then we headed to Urban Air.

Matching salomon shoes!

We had SUCH a fun time here. Crew and Lucy and Laura came too. The kids had a blast. SOOO much cool stuff to do. Harvey loved the climbing wall section and Tanner and I were both pretty impressed with how brave he was.

The girlies loved this little playground thing.

This sky flyer thing was his favorite. You get harnessed in and then soar across the room and walk around a little thing and then soar back. It flips you all over the place and actually was really fun. He probably did it 10 times.
This was Greta's favorite.

He tried the ropes course once.

He picked sushi for dinner. We went to Tony's. He took this book with him to Urban Air too. I didn't want him to take it in but he said he was "going to take some breaks to read because I like reading now!" Love it. Also so funny. And no he didn't take any reading breaks. But I still think this pictures is cute.

Unfortunately he started complaining of a bad headache and didn't want to go get ice cream (Handel's opened ON his birthday. Perfect timing. We'd been impatiently waiting for it to open for quite some time). Crew and Lucy and Kent and Laura met us there. They had fun while we were there but we weren't very prepared with jackets etc and the kids were starting to lose their minds after and there wasn't any place to sit, so we ended up leaving really soon after getting the ice cream. All in all it was a really fun day, I think. I think Harvey had a good day too!

That weekend he got to do his birthday sleepover with Grammy and Pop. They took him to the Natural History Museum. He was pretty excited about all the dinosaur stuff, especially Arctic Dinosaurs. That's about the only thing he mentioned to me.

Dinner at Taco Time! He was feeling PRETTY cool when he got to get Diet Coke for his drink.

All the best from Grammy and Pop! He got to pick a cool laser shooting toy and got some cool presents! More dinosaurs - which he loves! And a sweet Jurassic World Lego set...which he also loves! He had a great time! Hope he knows how much he is loved!
