Harvey LOVED learning about ancient Egypt. That's all he wants to do now - go to Egypt. Just like, this weekend, ya know? Haha. They had a day they could dress up and I assumed he wouldn't want to. But then the day before, he said he did, so I scrambled to find anything that wasn't packed and borrowed some great stuff from neighbor Jill. Got him all dressed up and he started flipping out about wearing it. Then decided to take it off before he walked into school. Guess he was too embarrassed but a lot of other people did dress up, which I think maybe if he would have believed me on that he would have kept it on. Oh well. We got a picture :)
Bogey sits funny. Just a secretly captured picture of the girls being so dang adorable together.
Harvey has a crush on Taylee. He had a crush on her in kindergarten but it was pretty low key and not really talked about much. It sort of exploded the last month or so. He's so funny. As we've been having different house plans all over the place, he designed a tree house for both of them, and this is the list of items he will need for such house. Flipping kills me.
Oh and a little love note exchange...
She kept picking at this sore and I told her she needed to stop cause it was making it bleed. She wanted to see so I took a picture of it just to show her...but then I am swooning over this profile with her eyes and giant, adorable cheeks...I couldn't delete it.
Another zoo day!
In time out trying to muster the ability to think of 5 things they like about each other after they fought while playing and Greta was being a pill and purposely pushing buttons and Harvey lost his cool and punched her. Super fun. I was super ticked.
Pre-play date Lego love design. This cracks me up. He is as bad as I was in like Junior High. Writing names on the bottom of shoes and etc etc. What 7 year old boy is this interested in girls!? So funny. We arranged a play date at the park. Took them awhile to even acknowledge each other but then they played pretty cute for awhile.
Her sister Ivy...cute girls!
Our first outside meal of the year...and the last. Last outside meal at our house. Kind of sad.
Why sleep in beds when there's all that perfectly good carpet!?
A rare date night! We went to a movie which felt weird. I could have picked a better one but it was still a lot of fun. Then trying to get dinner at a nice place and the wait was forever long everywhere in Farmington station. So we got Free Bird take out and went home.
I laughed at this. Solution - heart..."love" and then happily ever after. A little more love would lead to a lot more happily ever afters.
After Taylee's birthday party at coconut cove. Harry Potter theme. He had a blast! And on the way home he said he wanted to have a party (can't remember where) but JUST with Taylee. I said he'd probably change his mind a lot between now and his birthday. He said he might about what kind of party but he wasn't going to change his mind about only wanting Taylee to come.
Again - the most precious sweet moment. I LOVE it when they play good. It probably is more often than not but they can get fiesty occasionally.
Harvey's "best friend" Russel. Dalene sent me this photo. I love it. Love having it. Harvey LOVES Russell (and playing video games with him).
The girls looked so cute matching in their dresses. But Lottie was NOT happy about doing a photo. Greta helped her out. I mostly wanted to take a picture of them to remember Greta. When I pulled it out telling her she had to wear it for the Sunday before St. Patrick's day she was so mad. She cried that she didn't want to wear it - "It's ugly...it looks like it's for the FIELDS!!!" WHAT?!?! The fields. Oh my gosh I was dying. Like how does she know anything about any dress laden field workers???
My friend Charles birthday is March 15th. I told him I was going to bake him a cake and he picked strawberries and cream. I must say...one of theeee best cakes I've ever tasted. It was sooo yummy! He seemed to approve too, and John really liked it as well.
Sleeping beauties.
Threw all the St. Pat's stuff together after work the night before. It was pretty low key this year. They all seemed pretty excited by it all, though. Just a little scavenger hunt in the morning and some green pancakes that no one wanted. Haha.
And luckily Laura was on her game this year because I totally wasn't. She mostly organized a little party for the kids. Some coloring pages and craft and game (a fun skittles game that Harvey lost his mind over when he realized he might not win...giant eye roll emoji). So that kind of was dumb. Then she did a little scavenger hunt too. It was fun!
Harvey still having leftover game tantrum.
This was the last bath ever in our big ol' tub. Crazy stuff.
I don't even understand this....
Recently I forgot to take a blanket to church and she whined and cried the whole time. I shouldn't fight it because she did so good just chillin' with her blanket this Sunday.
Harvey thought it was pretty cool to sleep inside this tote for a few days. So weird.
She just wanted me to take a picture of her hair.
The kids had been doing these obstacles across the length of the living room...from couches to chairs to stools to backpacks etc. Trying not to touch the floor. It was all fun and games until Harvey leaped and crashed HARD into the edge of our table. Immediately bruised and swelled up a ton. Oops.
Crappy blurry pictures but these kids kill me. And Bogey and his spread eagle. Haha.
Took the trailer back to be parked at Preston and Nat's. Man - not sad to be rid of that thing for the time being - and all the loads back and forth of STUFF! We hung out for a little while which was really nice to chat. Don't get to see them too much.
Have to include all her posing for pictures. This girl is a diva! So funny.
Two too precious girlies.
We went and said hi to my sister at work cause we were in the area. I don't remember the details but Lottie got TICKED that Greta ran to the car to unlock it or get something out of it and she threw a HUGE fit. Like ridiculous. Finally got them calmed down in the car - Heather even gave them THEEE yummiest caramel rice krispie treats and they totally didn't deserve them. But this is just them being stinkers in the car. Funny how it can go from precious pants to make me want to pull my hair out just like that. But I'll love them all forever and always...little stinks :)
