Misc January

This was a face I saw after waking up from a nap or something. Harvey did this to himself because it was how it made him a ninja. Haha.
Can't stop, won't stop with the sleeping pictures. Especially when they sleep like this...
My fav pal Kristen came into town after Christmas and we got to hang out for a day. We got some tasty lunch at the Original Pancake House and then struck out on a few walk in pedi places, but eventually found somewhere that had room for us. It was fabulous! And so nice to catch up with her sans kids. Her kids and parents watched my kids and they had a great time!

Love her.

Harvey is always asking me to take pictures of random things. He like how his cream of wheat turned out when I poured milk in it. Like the moon.
He got to go to the "monster dome" - monster truck show for his 3rd year in a row! He likes it more each year I think - and going with Payne and uncle Mason helps too! Cute boys!

Sweetness.
These girls are just too cute.

Tanner has talked about wanting to learn to curl for years. I finally looked into it and gave him lessons for Christmas - but not till March. But we found one in Ogden that had space a lot sooner and I could go with him. So we made a date night out of it and it was SO MUCH fun! I was surprised at how fun and strategic and HARD it was. We loved it.

She learned to fold her arms! I freaking love this girl and this age.

Harvey tucked his wolfy in for the night.

I think my kids are the most bizarre sleepers in the world.

Trying out Daddy's glasses.

I have this app on my phone where you put your own picture in and can do the hair. Harvey did this one of Lottie and her face looks so cute and funny in this, I had to save it.
Here are a few cute video's from the month. Lottie is quite the talker. She ALWAYS tries to repeat the words we say, and sometimes lots of words sound the same or she's not even close, but I have always been surprised that she always gets the right amount of syllables. Even if it's multiple. I can't remember what phrase I said but it had like 5 or 6 syllables. She said some complete gibberish that had the exact right amount. She's definitely our best/earliest talker. She can probably say 5x as many words as she does here. I should try to make a list of them, but it really is too many. It's a lot of fun!
And Greta has been getting pretty good at her alphabet. Recognizing her letters is another story. Haha. I'm hoping we can get that down this summer.
Greta and Lottie are quite the dancers. Lottie especially - always wants music on in the car. Always wants me to turn on music on my phone. "Dahhn". Her style of dance has changed - lately she just turns around in circles over and over and over (that's Greta's style - just lots of pretty spinning). Sometimes Lottie will throw in some bouncing up and down. I love that they love to move their bodies and enjoy music - but sad they had no genetic help in having any real moves.

She sure loves her babies and dollies!
For Christmas my parents gave us all Amazon gift cards and I got some new running kicks. Love them! Now if I could find some time to run!

Holy crap how cute is this!?

Greta actually took this picture and it is kind of cute. And Rozzi doesn't get photographed too much anymore. For as much as I'm struggling with her right now - she's a dang sweet, gorgeous doggy!
Been in need of some fresh air - it was probably a little colder than would have been ideal, but we got a stroll around the block and some cute pictures, so I'd call that a win.

Harvey's second dentist appointment. And Greta had her first visit too! She did AWESOME!

Harvey had a little singing program at his preschool. It was pretty cute. I didn't have a great spot for photographing and videoing. And I had the girls too, so I was trying to keep Lottie from running amuck. My kids must have got some of their social anxiety/shyness from me. Harvey sort of sang and didn't do any of the actions, which was kind of a bummer, but still cute. I recorded everything for Tanner - but really - if you see one, you've seen them all. I'll still include one :) it was his favorite one because he got to keep the little telescope thing.

He's dang cute, singing/actions or not!

Our little Costco helper.
Attacking dad for good night loves.

We went to eat at Rio Grande one night with Clare and Berrie. Lottie fed herself the black beans. Made for a nice beard/moustache.

Wrong hole.
Me, my cousins Allison and Melanie made a team effort to try and organize a Wilding New Year's party. We used to get together a lot more than we do now, and we like getting together. So we made it happen. And decided we'd make a tradition of it. Hopefully we get a little more turn out in upcoming years. But the best of the best showed up and we had a great time! This is the only picture I took. Dumb. But Greta and Logan were being really cute. They had some music playing too and were dancing a bit to it which was awesome.

You can't REALLY tell what's going on in these pictures but they make my heart happy. When we first moved in to the house, Harvey's thing was waving to me or Tanner from the back door as we left for work. We'd honk and wave after we turned the corner and it would be pretty detrimental if we forgot (which was known to happen). Now, they all want to wave to us as we leave and I LOVE seeing all their little faces at the window as I drive away - all waving and so adorable. Sometimes screaming, which occasionally makes me sad to be leaving, and sometimes kind of happy. Oops. Shhh. But I know I'm going to cherish these pictures and memories. Wish I could have captured it a little better the couple of times I tried.

Everyone watches movies like this, right??

It's more efficient to eat the entire "whatever" in one bite.

Silly girls!

A new circus came to town and the whole family went together. It was REALLY fun. The kids really liked it. Lottie's interest lasted through about half of it. I was pretty impressed with how cool it was. Tigers jumping through flaming loops (Harvey asked about that even before it happened so he was pretty pumped to see that), elephants, cool trapeze artists, unicycles and fun trained dog acts, etc, etc. They even had a "transformer car". Harvey was AMAZED (see picture below) - because Dad told him transformers weren't real and we saw on in REAL LIFE! He loved it.
And was so entranced with it. (He's really into transformers right now).

I didn't really take a lot of pictures. Hard holding Lottie etc and the lighting just wasn't cooperating. Still so much fun!

Harvey has gotten into helping with dishes here and there. I'm sure that won't last...

I was in charge of planning the Great to be Eight thing for our primary kids. My rainbow looks more like...something that doesn't look like a great rainbow. But I thought the food turned out cute and the program was nice too. I was happy to check it off the list, though.

The outfit she picked to wear to dance.
We had a way too long run of illness at our house - which still (as I write this in the middle of February) isn't 100% over. Still have snotty noses and coughs. But Lottie had a fever for a few days. Harvey had fevers and sore throat for a few days. Greta ended up with a double ear infection. Ugh. It's been so annoying. Tanner and I have fared ok...knock on wood. But these sick little faces make me sad.

Peeps makes anything better...apparently.
Again trying to catch some fresh air. They had fun playing on piles of snow and Harvey dictated what I needed to take pictures of.

She was not a happy camper seeing her blanket in the washer. It's hard to sneak it in for washing and it gets so dirty so fast because she drags it all over the place all the time. Kind of sad. Kind of funny. Also sweet.

Just cause she wanted me too...and she's cute.

All the mundane ness of life thrown into this blog makes me feel so grateful. Just looking back, I feel more love for my kids and our lives. It feels like some deep, challenging trenches a lot of the time, but there is so much beauty and joy even amidst those challenges.
