SeaQuest Aquarium

It's about that time that winter is starting to feel long and we're getting a little stir crazy. Friday's are our only days that we don't have something (preschool or dance)...and don't let that make it sound like we are "busy". I can only imagine what the coming years are going to be like with school and extracurricular things, etc. But anyway, we've tried to do some more exciting things a few of these last Fridays. We decided to take a trip to the aquarium that's in the Layton Hill's Mall. It's pretty fun. Last time we went was actually about a year ago - for Greta's birthday. Lottie LOVES the fish. She gets so excited when she sees them (at least at first). Squealing and running around etc. Pretty dang cute.

Turtles and a couple small alligator things...

Last year when Greta first saw this guy, she ran right up to it and tried to climb on, thinking it was a toy. Then she freaked out. When Lottie saw it this year, she ran up to it and SMACKED it on the head, sooo fast, before I could even realize what was happening. I got after her and then she screamed - I think because she got in trouble, not because the turtle scared her. She calmed down and then we got her to pet him much more softly. Oops.

We are at a stage in picture life that it is very difficult to get the kids to hold still for pictures or cooperate for them. Oh well. You get the idea. We had a great time!
