June 1st we went down to do the Art City Days 5k with my dad and Laura and Dallin. We used to go down there pretty regularly a LONG time ago. I haven't done it in forever. I wasn't going to go but then my mom went on a cruise instead and so we decided to take her place. I thought Harvey would think another race was fun. Well, it was a long drive and really early so they weren't very into it at all. He maybe ran a quarter mile total. Ha. But it was fun being there with the fam. Nobody one anything on their sweet prize drawing. I'm not sure it's worth the drive again, but it was a fun morning.
Then we stopped at a park on our way home and had a good time there!
Then when we got home, Tanner took them to a graduation party of a daughter of a lady he works with. I went off to work. They had a FULL day!
Weston!! We finally got to go meet our newest nephew. A month plus after he was born. Life gets crazy, that's for sure! I took the first picture, Ben took and shared the next, much better few...
A little help from siblings while mom doesn't quite feel ready to get out of bed after a late night shift.
We rinsed off the year long gunk from our pool and invited some friends over. It was so much fun. The kids loved it!
Lottie was dancing up on the steps and was so cute...
We love our friends Crew and Lucy (and mama Laura!)
I decided I needed to grab an after picture of her belly button. It looks so much different than it did before, and I think a little odd - but maybe that's because it's so foreign to me.
Harvey's preschool end of year party at the Clearfield Rec Center. Tanner volunteered to stay home with Lottie so I could just go with Harvey and Greta. We had a great time!
Sleeping beauty...
I can't remember why we were down at my mom's - I think It was soon after she got home from her cruise...but we went to play at a park with her and it was lovely! And the way Lottie was walking in this cute little outfit Heather gave Greta had to be captured.
Tanner was out of town and I let Harvey sleep in my room. He had the option of the bed but chose the floor and set it up like this, with guardians for his little puppy.
Sisterly love! My favorite (any sibling love, actually)
A pre bed-time game of Pie Face :) We still haven't gotten Greta to participate.
Millcreek Day!!!! One of my favorite summer activities! We invited Laura, Crew and Lucy to come up too, with some other family members - it was so fun. Only dampened by the fact I had to work and so we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked.
Ben went off to Turkey or somewhere really exotic so we invited Julie and the kids over to try to break up the monotony. I had offered to just watch the kids but she ended up staying, so she probably didn't get as much rest as she could but it was fun to actually talk to her and have a pretty decent conversation. Logan and Clara were over too while Laura had a doctors appointment and squeezed in a nap. It was a wild day - but tons of fun for all the cousins!
I'd been talking to Brooke for awhile about checking out this little trail in Kaysville. We really like it and they had never been, so she drove up and we went for a "hike". The lighting just wasn't the best for picture documentation, but it was really fun!
I love this one! |
We wore this one out. Haha.
Aurora!!! Laura had her baby Rory on June 20th and I worked the next day and so creeped away for a few minutes to go meet her. Precious perfection!
What Tanner was doing while we were in Goblin Valley...
My best friends from ARUP all got together at Jessicka's house at her invitation. It had been about 8 years since we had all seen each other. It was really fun to catch up. Of course it was cloudy and a bit rainy and SUPER cold for the pool party. And Harvey jumped off the diving board without his puddle jumper which caused some brief excitement. *eye roll*
T-rex by Harvey, one of my favorite drawings of his, ever! |
Turned the wrong way but a rocket and space shuttle. |
After church nap. This is what I feel like I need after church. Just hide and sleep. Haha. For as busy as I thought June was going to be because of all the days off I had requested and Savannah, etc - I feel pretty good about the fun summer things we got in.
