We finally made a fun little hike happen! It had been in the discussion phase for a long time! But we found a day that worked for us, Emily and her kids, and Laura and her kids! This was a trail I had recently heard of and wanted to try. The kids did AWESOME. I was so impressed. It was super hard or long - maybe a mile and a half one way if that. But there was ZERO complaining. I didn't have to carry Lottie once. She fell a couple of times so that was the only time their was any crying. And where we turned around there was a huge tree swing which we all played on for a long time and the kids LOVED it. SO so so fun and beautiful and perfect!
This big kids, me, Laura and Emily and even Harvey, Clara and Maycee and Charlee tried it from up on a big rock and it was way fun!
And we saw a snake on the way down. It was pretty big but didn't have a rattle thank goodness. Laura had told kids before that there might be rattlesnakes and we needed to watch out and be careful. They were all a little worried at first. But luckily no close encounters! Or encounters at all.
