Moab part 3

We had wanted to do the Park Avenue hike one of the days but just ran out of time and daylight. No one was feeling super anxious to get home and we didn't have anything pressing so we planned to do it on our way out of town. We got the house all packed and cleaned up in the morning and then headed out. It was a WINDY day and when we were waiting for people to run shuttle for the car it was so windy in and cold. The kids didn't even whine at all about it and were still jumping on rocks and playing around. I'm so glad we did this. I forgot how breathtakingly beautiful it is. And the kids loved it. Just lots of fun rocks and puddles and things to run and jump and throw and play around.

Going back and forth through the water tunnel under the road while waiting to run shuttle again.

We headed back into Moab for lunch after this and then drove home. This was a tough trip to come back from. Were it not for Tanner being at home we might just have never returned. Ha. JK. I wish Tanner could have come so bad. December is not a good vacation time for his work. But this trip was perfection in every way. The house was so fun. The kids had a blast. Arches was heaven. The kids were such good hikers and didn't complain at all (except sometimes before a hike...and then after it was over because they were having so much fun). It was relaxing and so fun to have time to puzzle and chat and play games and just hang out. I wasn't looking forward to coming home to tiny apartment and lots of work shifts and house stresses and all the rough real life stuff. So grateful we got to go and for my dad for making it possible.
