Moab part 1

My dad planned a big trip to Moab for my mom's 60th birthday. We all committed a long time ago and he wanted to wait and tell her a little closer to when we were going - but she was getting anxious about making sure she had something fun to do on her time off around the big day. He was afraid she was going to book a trip and so he told her and she was WAY excited. This trip was heaven. Everything about it was so good. The house my dad rented was awesome. It was just a bummer that Shane and Austin and Tanner couldn't make it down due to work and school stuff. We had to leave a little later than planned cause we had a huge snow storm that morning and traffic was a mess. But by the time we left it was pretty smooth sailing. At the top of the canyon before heading down into Price there was snow and white out and stuff on the roads but it was only for about 10 minutes, thank goodness. We stopped at KFC and Taco Time in Price.

That night we ran to the store to get the rest of the food we needed for the trip and the kids just explored and played in the big new territory. So fun. We took our sweet time the next morning because it was chilly! But the plan was Delicate Arch that day. It was beautiful! Kids all did awesome. There was no complaining and they all hiked the whole way. It was so much fun.

We decided we'd try one more area. Harvey was throwing a fit about going on another hike. We went over to the Windows area. It was getting cold fast. So we made it to the first one and most everyone went back after a few pics. Lottie and Harv stayed with Heather and my dad and I and we went around the smaller loop and played and jumped around. Harvey didn't want to go back. He's so funny like that. They were having fun running up and down stairs and smashing ice with rocks etc.

Exposure was a little off on this one - but I still like it and Heather in it.

Laura and fam headed home. Greta and my mom braved the cold trying to patiently wait for us.
We got home and did more puzzling and playing. We sat in the pretty sweet hot tub they had there too almost every night. I included the cookie pictures on this one but we actually did those Sunday night. We decided to take a chill day on Sunday. We went to sacrament in town and then just hung out at home. Played games, did puzzles, etc etc. It was a really nice day.
