Lottie 4 months

I'm trying to stay caught up on these monthly posts and remembering the details of growth of the month. A few days after she hit 3 months she giggled for me - like a legit one. I was holding her on my lap and made some weird noise and she laughed and then when I was lifting her hands up she did it again. (She likes having her hands raised up over her had and moved around).  It was so so cute and fun! She's super smiley and sometimes will giggle but mostly I just get really big happy smiles with body jitters. She has gone through a couple noise phases too. One was like a gurgling sounding coo and she'd go crazy with that. Just lately she sucks in air and makes silly noises and squeals like that.  It's so fun.

I've been horrible at tummy time with her. I don't think I was very good at doing it with any of the kids but it seems even worse with her. So, she still hasn't rolled over at all but has gotten really close to going from back to front. She goes about halfway. She's got a strong neck though and seems to like the bumbo.
We still aren't quite ready to have Greta be out of the crib. We literally don't have a place to put her, but also I'm not sure she's quite ready, so Lottie has stayed in the pack and play. She seemed to have a hard time napping in there, but on her 4 month birthday, at Grandma Elaine's Christmas party, she was laying on her bed and when Tanner went up to check on her she had pushed herself back and back and back from where she was and she dumped herself off the bed, and was face down between the bed and night stand, SCREAMING. Tanner felt sick and awful and when I heard about it I felt the same. Holy crap. Thank goodness she didn't really get hurt or anything worse! But, with that being said, even though she's not rolling, she's close and is mobile other ways - so no more bed laying.

Gosh I love that smile and face!
Harvey and Greta still ask a lot to hold her. I'm not sure what's going on with the face Harvey is making though.

These are like my 2 favorite pictures ever so far!

You probably can't see it in this picture without being able to zoom in or having it circled, but I found like an inch long black hair coming out of her thigh. Haha. See if you can find it :)
And again, about sleeping, and true to my style - I love sleeping kid pictures. I have tons of Harvey and Greta, and Lottie is accruing her fair share too. They are just too precious. She has been a rockstar sleeper. The week right before she hit 4 months she slept through the night 3 times! It is a game changer! Especially with me working all these late night shifts! Bless you, Lottie.

Cute outfit from Jill and Bayli Dean and Michelle Pyper from our ward

Good eyebrow expressions

I think she's turning into a bath and water lover like the older sibs. And she was being too dang cute this particular bath time and so I took a lot of pictures and then couldn't delete all but one.

Another new favorite ;)

Cousins! It still kills me how much bigger Lottie is! Can't wait to watch these two grow up together!
In other news about Lottie - I think she's my drooliest baby of the 3. Which has created a little problem with her lip. She has had two cracks on her lip that would dry out while sleeping and then bleed when she woke up. One of them has finally healed but she still has a huge on in the middle bottom lip that I can't get to go away. Any time I try to put stuff on it she's licking it and drooling it away. I've been a little better at trying to slather it on while she's sleeping and not drooling but man! It's taking FAR longer than I'd like or expect any lip wound to take.
She also is my rashiest baby I think too. I had eczema as a kid pretty bad and Harvey has showed signs of mild rashiness, but she's got bad eczema patches all over her squishy little body. Which saddens me, but hopefully she outgrows it in the next few years.
Lottie is really just a joy though. I can't believe how hard it was the first couple of months because she is really a completely different baby. She's sleeping great and has been so happy and content and smiley and just wonderful. She sometimes makes me want another baby. Haha. Won't be happening, but I'm quite obsessed with this little chunk and am torn up about her getting bigger. It's crazy to me that in just 2 more months we'll be giving her food and all those things when I feel like she's got to still be a week old. Oh, time. Such a crazy thing!
