Misc May

For a Covid month I sure have a lot of pictures! We finished up a bunch of work with the yard and finished up school, which was happy for everyone :) It was a good month.

I think this is the only picture I took of Elaine's 88th drive by birthday. Oops.
Nope - looks like I took one of the girls being cute and all playing together after we went back to Clare and Berrie's.
We went to check out Heather's new house. And went for a walk around her cool Ogden neighborhood. These pictures always seem so precious to me...view from behind, holding a small child's hand :)

Grammy pedicures are the best :)

Our cute, sweet little poser. Love her!

A little Costco run. We barely sneaked in. Didn't have our masks and we had 2 more people than technically was allowed. Tanner had dropped us off while he had to run and do something. After we were done we camped out at the back of the parking lot and ate pizza.

Tanner took care of me on Mother's Day! He made these KILLER blueberry muffins from scratch. So so so so good. Then it was a lovely mellow day and he made me ribs per my request. Gave me a massage gift card, let me relax, tickled my back. All the best things!
We went to a nursery with my mom for her mother's day gift. To pick out some flowers. The kids had fun messing around/exploring.

I think my mom got pictures of all the kids on this but I don't know where I saved them or if I did, etc. Oops.
They also picked a few flowers for us to plant.
I bought me some new running shoes. I like them a lot and actually started using them a bunch and was getting back into it until it got really hot and now I hardly go because it just doesn't work out to go when it's 90 degrees and mornings and nights aren't options with mine and Tanner's work schedules. Guess I need a treadmill :)

Dying. He is so cute and was such a great kindergartner. And his teacher raved and raved about how he incredible his reading improvement was over the year (I guess most of it anyway...thanks Covid). Harvey is such a fun, cool, smart, awesome kid. I'm quite proud of him myself!

Best friends are Crew and Heath. He had a crush on Tayleigh.

Messy messy backyard project. Ugh. We are finally starting to see the light though. After we got top soil in and moved around it finally felt like we might make it.

And this was fun to see happen too - still stressful for me though. This whole dang project has probably taken YEARS away from my life. I don't know why I let it be such a big deal to my mental well being. I'm dumb.
Sleepover with Grammy!!! Harvey had his the week before and I don't know why I didn't save any pictures of his to my phone. He got a lego set and put that together and went golfing with Pop.

Greta's is pretty self explanatory in pictures. I love that my parents do this and I love how much they love our kids and how much our kids love them. They LOVE them and usually prefer them to us. Ha. Greta tells me quite frequently that she wants to live with Grammy.

Life doesn't get better than this!

Wore her out! She had a BLAST!

Illegally taking kids with us to the dump to get rid of more crap in the backyard and weird bricks, etc etc. Don't report us. This was also a time that I realized after Tanner and I had worked outside ALL day and when we saw how soggy her butt was on the drive back, I hadn't changed her since like 7 that morning. We ran to the dump before I had to work...like 4:30.  Oopsies.

Not excited about more loads to pick up dirt. Ha.

I love her!
I think he had just watched a YouTube video of some explorers going hunting for bugs or reptiles. So he is all set up for his own exploring. Notice all the things tucked in his shorts. Love it.
And this girl. Her cheeses and silly faces are so fun and adorable.

I didn't take any pictures of Brooke and I but we did get to go for a little mountain stroll on the temple quarry trail in little cottonwood. It was so beautiful and so wonderful to just have some uninterrupted catch up/hang out/chat time!

Hanging out at my parents. We were going to go out earlier to make dinner but it was cold rainy and windy. But then it kind of cleared up a little later so we made it happen and it was so fun!

The girls were being SO silly on this. Greta would kick up and then when she fell back down Lottie would get air off the seat and they would laugh and laugh. And it was so cute and funny.
Adams Canyon for Laura's birthday! I got to get away again sans kids while Tanner slaved away on the cement for the patio :) That was nice of him!

Just a little slip down the slope. haha.

They did it! My uncle came and helped and offered his cement pump which was HUGE. Gosh. I was so grateful to him and Clare and Bruce and Tanner. They made it look so good and I am SOOOO happy it is done!

Tanner wrote everyone's names underneath the prints but I didn't take a final picture.

BEAUTIFUL!!

Her first mascara attempt. And come to think of it...she's the first kid ever to get into that.

Bubbles!!!

They did a clandestine Layton temple site dedication on a Saturday a week before they had announced it. The next Sunday I guess they had this shovel there and Tanner's parents invited them to go up and check it out with them while the stake president was there too. I'm glad they did because I'm really happy to have these pictures! It's kind of exciting having a temple getting built .5 miles from our house!

Mimi's retirement party! And cute nephew Chip!

Harvey tried jumping off the small bathroom counter after washing his dirty feet but slipped and whacked his arm against the counter and ended up with a pretty impressive bruise!
Hanging with Brooke and her boys. I was so excited to go to this little trail that has the little stream by it for forever and we made the plan and went - and there was NO water. I was so bummed! The kids still had a great time running around and exploring and pretending and being happy outside kids!

Geez. Cutest girls ever.

Laura watched the kids for us for a Saturday morning and took some cute fun pictures!

And that's a wrap! Grateful for happy, healthy kids. I feel like their mental health is still strong and good despite everything else going on in the world and I want to keep them feeling safe and as normal as possible.
