Kathryn's Baby Shower

Baby shower for Kathryn!! So fun. We had planned to do it a couple of weeks later but Nick got his papers to report back east and so they had to leave sooner than we expected. We threw it together pretty quick and I think ti turned out SO cute. I don't have a pic of the invite but Laura did that and it was adorable. Kathryn wanted Winnie the Pooh theme cause that's what they are doing their nursery. At the shower we found out from Nick's mom that he LOVED Winnie the Pooh when he was younger and still has a lot of the stuffed animals and his quilt from when he was a baby. All that just made it all the more sweet and cool that they are going with that theme.
My mom put all these super cute party favors together. Adorbs. All the decorations were so cute. My mom did a great job. We had a waffle bar with delicious syrups, sausage and bacon, egg cups and fruit.

Greta's legs look a mile long here. Ha.

There was a bit of a catastrophe with the waffles. I preheated them way early but didn't realize we had tripped a breaker so we had major issues getting it all tuned up. Eventually we just moved one inside but I had poured stuff in when they weren't quite hot and they weren't cooking and so it was a HUGE pain and mess to get the gunk out. Once the situation was finally figured out they were coming off the irons like hot cakes, but hot waffles and it was perfect, except that it sucked they weren't ready when people were. It was fine - nice breakfast appetizers before. I got a little stressed and frustrated but it all worked out.

She was so cute. It's so weird and so fun and so exciting to see her pregnant. She got some DANG cute stuff. Fun decor and bedding for the nursery (this lamp was from us) and lots of cute clothes and just fun things. It's so sad she's so far away now and will be in West Virginia for the next 4 years so we won't get to see our little niece Evelyn Grace very often.

But all in all it was a fabulous party and so great to see family and so happy celebrating her. So excited for her! And then we spent the night and Lottie crashed :)
