Trying our hand at chess. I tried teaching him some of the rules and he caught on pretty quick actually. We had stopped by Heather and Shane's house on our way to our house to let their dogs out for a little bit.
The sweetest little picture ever. Greta letting Lottie participate with her upstart.A new year of dance has begun. They've expanded and have two studios now and lots of teachers. Lottie has Miss Bethani and Greta is doing her class with Miss Emily and she also started tumbling too. They both are loving it and doing great! I wondered if Lottie was going to be interested this year. She kind of struggled towards the end of spring. She has been super happy about going though, which is great. We'll see if she actually dances at the November performance.
I think it is the cutest thing watching these two walk to school with their little backpacks on.
So fun to be at a park again when it's not 100 degrees!
Tanner took teh kids to Cherry Hill one night I had to work. He was nice and sent me this :)
I probably included too many of these but they are all too precious to me. Greta and Lottie. Oh my. They really are the best of friends 97% of the time. Please please please bless it stays that way forever!
This was too cute. Harvey got to give the talk and he was I think a little excited about it or maybe he just was constantly talking about it because he was nervous. He sat up on the chairs just perfectly until it was time to get up. He stood up and looked at me and shy smiled and shook his head. I gave him the thumbs up. Shook head again and then just went for it. He read it so good and did such a great job! Greta got asked to do it the next week but we were going to be out of town in Orlando and she was DEVASTATED about it. So hopefully she gets the chance soon too.
Lottie had her FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL!!! Holy cow was she ever excited to have her turn. She goes in the afternoon. I wish it was morning because that's when Greta goes and by afternoon she can sometimes be a little bit tired and ornery. But she was super excited. She was a little grumpy after the first day but I do think it was all just tired and overwhelming for her. She's so smart and we plan on putting her in kindergarten next year, but she still seems so little to me and the tiredness and certain other maturity things remind me of that. Guess we'll see how the rest of the year goes!
Her teacher is Miss Jana and the school is School of Guppies. I love her teacher and she does the cutest funnest things with them!
This giant disgusting thing came crawling out of our light one day when I was laying on the bed. I smacked it with a fly swatter and guts went everywhere. I was informed a little while later that Tanner ended up killing one there too. Um. I am NOT okay with multiple GIANT spiders crawling around above my bed. Freak.
I haven't gotten many pictures of Harvey playing because I've been so busy and sidetracked trying to "coach". Greta is liking soccer. She was really aggressive her first game. Now she kind of skips up and down the field. But whatever. She's having fun and we are trying it out.
Pics from Annie an afternoon she had Greta over to play and do water balloons. They had a blast.
More pictures from Annie while we were out of town. The girls slept once at Annie's and Harvey slept once at Crew's.
Then they spent one night at Carson and Nat's. (My mom had them at our apartment the first two nights and Berrie had them the last night).
I have laughed so hard and so long at this picture. I keep looking at it and laughing. It's the best. Harvey. Tough super man with a wedgie. But he is a superman, because he is the sweetest older brother (usually a little better to Lottie).
Beautiful sunset driving home from our house one night.
School pictures! Love it.
Lottie had a chance to give the talk too, and she was so excited about it as well. She stood up there and wandered around in front till they got chairs and then sat up there totally calm and ready to rock until it was her turn. I sat behind her and whispered the first line. She said it great and then decided it was too much. She shook her head and wouldn't say another word. So I gave her talk through my mask with her climbing into my lap and bumping my phone that had the talk on it. Geez. She said she'd be ready to do it again next time, cause the first time she was just too shy. We'll see...
Helping make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for deliveries one Sunday.
I don't get to see Harvey very often. I work too many evenings and when he gets done with school at 3 and I leave for work at 4:30, we never get any one on one time. I'd been promising him a date for a long time but it got too busy before we went out of town, then he was sick, and then finally the day arrived. I had to check him out of school. We went to Taco Time and chatted and then he picked the Layton Classic Fun Center. We did that last time too. It was a blast. We played arcades, jumped around on the bounce houses, I chased him around, we tried roller skating again, which was really fun for me this time for some reason but he fell a few times and wasn't into it. He did try it a few times and did get a little better. Fun to be able to just focus on him and I think he had a good time. These seem to be good and happy memories for the kids. They all talk about their past turns a lot. It's really good for me too.
Cars day at preschool - they made cars adn got a drivers license. So cute. And her last day of September was a camp out. They got to go in a real tent outside and had real hot dogs and real bread and real ketchup and real marshmellows and fake fire. See - her teacher does the cutest stuff!
Picnic lunch with school lunch after Greta got done with school. And should we be at all surprised that this is what Lottie thought would be fun to do with her carrots? Goofs.
