Labor Day Zoo

An impromptu zoo visit with all our new passes. It was lovely weather and so much fun. We went on Labor Day thinking it would be okay because you have to make reservations now. It was busy but totally enjoyable.

Not sure how these ended up here but we actually got treated to ice cream by my dad at the end. He's so nice.

We made reservations to see the new baby gorilla that was like 2 months old. Had to wear masks and be quiet and stay on the gray mats, etc. Mama and baby were kind of hiding at the back when we got there but then luckily she walked to the front holding baby and we got a pretty good look at the adorable little thing. Harder to get great pictures but it was really cool and worth the brief wait in line!

Can't go to the zoo without a carousel ride :)

The snakes, lizards and turtles, etc in the reptile house were incredibly active! I've never seen so many little creepy crawlers actually crawling and creeping around.

Telltale sign of a GOOD day!
