It was still gonna be pretty dang hot while we were there - like 100 every day basically. So we kind of figured out the things we wanted to do outside and planned to get an early start on them every day. The kids picked Dixie Rock as the first activity. And Harvey remembered from the last trip down that I had promised him that we would do the cactus garden thing so we started with that. It was actually really pretty and cool. Lots of funky cactus and cool plants.
They had a blast here. So many cool places to climb in and around and on. Fun seeing how excited they were about being able to climb up a steep rock. Just feeling confident and strong and independent. It was so much fun.
And they had so much fun that on our last day when we let them choose between parks or whatever else - they chose to go back to Dixie Rock.
And we actually made it out onto the literal Dixie Rock this time :)
