Day 2 at the park

Our second and last day at Lego Land was also lots of fun. We did our morning food and hang out at the hotel until the park opened. We hit up fairy tale brook again because there were no lines. We did it twice. Then wandered through friend land again and repeated a few rides.

I LOVE this picture of my mom and Greta. So adorable. She was pretty cute posing with all the girls too.

Then we played for a bit at the duplo playground. And rode a really little, somewhat lame, train ride. Haha. I kept thinking they were going to say all the rides were lame but they actually really liked them.

My dad and Lottie joined us on another ride on the submarine.

This was a really sad moment. Greta was tall enough to do this ride but they said you had to be at least 4. Stupid. She was SOOO sad she couldn't do it and then was in kind of a funk for awhile. After this we made Harvey go on a bigger roller coaster which was really fun but he cried the whole time and I laughed so hard. We recorded it and it's pretty entertaining. Does that make us horrible parents?
The other side of the park we checked out after lunch and it seemed a lot more crowded and stressful to me. But we found a few rides the kids really liked. Greta went on this airplane ride 3 or 4 times. There was a slide ride that Greta refused to go on with us until we slid down and then she wanted to do it and threw a fit that we wouldn't let her.

This was probably my favorite ride watching the kids go on. It was the beetle bounce. It took them up and dropped them a few feet, then a few more, then up a little and then dropped a little. It was hilarious. Harvey and Greta did it first and Harvey kept his hands up the whole time and Greta squealed and squealed. Tanner and I both thought they were going to FLIP. But they loved it. And then Greta decided she wanted to do it one more time. When it dropped her first, she made a really terrified face like she was going to start crying. But with a lot of encouragement from the peanut gallery, she turned her frown upside down and enjoyed the rest of it. I was laughing so much. It was great.

We relaxed and played in this indoor building with cars you could build and bigger blocks to play with for awhile while waiting for a 3D movie to start.

The movie was really funny and super cool with the glasses and the spraying water and air and such. I liked it a lot until Lottie decided she didn't and I had to leave with her the last 10 or 15 minutes.
We did this safari ride one last time and called it a day a couple hours before the park closed. But we all felt pretty done.

So yeah - overall my feelings of Lego Land were all good. It was such a cool, entertaining place and so much fun for the little kids. I could see us going back in a couple years when Lottie doesn't need a nap and is potty trained and will enjoy it a little more. But that will probably be it because I don't think it will be that fun for much older kids. I really loved it so much and it was SO much fun having my parents with us!

  1. We love Legoland! We took our kids when Kyan was 9, and he loved it too. So definitely go back, Harvey will probably still be up for it, and maybe he'll love roller coasters by then!
