Redman camp out

Our "Easter" August campout this year was as perfect in all the ways. We stayed at Redman campground and the group site we got was so awesome. So pretty and big and just perfect. We got up there first and got our camp all set up and then my parents and then Laura and then Heather rolled in around dinner time. The kids found a really cool fort down at a different group site that wasn't used the whole time we were there and they spent a lot of time down there which was awesome. This vacay was so great because the kids had a lot of fun together and Lottie was fairly independent and good at playing with the bigger kids and I had a lot of time to relax and read and chill too. These pictures aren't all in order but I tried hard to organize them as best as possible. You'll get the idea though. We had good food, good activities, good kids and good weather. I loved it all!

Cute little bunch of sleepers. This was also a breakthrough camping trip because all the nights I got the kids down and left the tent even before they were all asleep and could go out and enjoy the fire and stars with people. One night I stayed up till 3am though reading and then finishing a dang book (The Orphan Keeper...so good).

She wanted to be in the tent a lot to "take a rest". Well, one time she went in and really did put herself down for a nap. She only made it in the door though. Not sure why she didn't get up on a comfy bed. Haha.

After our Easter Egg hunt (which is blogged separately), we got back to camp and a mama and baby moose wandered right through our camp. It was so cool!

We saw lots of deer too!

Friday after breakfast we drove up around the corner and hiked around Silver Lake. So fun and beautiful.

Some people left who knows how many gold painted rocks around the lake. Harvey found one and thought it was pretty cool and then we found enough for everyone and more! Cute idea!

A couple more out of order one's of Lottie because I think she is cute and all her faces crack me up.

Heather and Shane took the boys rock hunting and they loved it!
