This was such a good idea. We had a free day and Laura and her kids were down to spontaneously join us and it was a BLAST. Oh man we had so much fun. The weather was perfect. The kids played great. It was so fun to be outside and in the water etc etc. The only thing that wasn't perfect was Lottie's epic meltdown towards the end. But we made it through. I think Pineview needs to be a much more regular thing next summer!
We took our little shade tent and she got beyond tired very quickly and was NOT tolerating the wind blowing the tent. She was FREAKING out and screaming and grabbing on to the floor and the walls. It was weird. She's actually been pretty affected by the wind since this day too. I don't know. But she did fall asleep for a little bit and then wasn't crazy happy after either so we loaded up soon after that.
And made a pit stop to get shaved ice. Another REALLY good idea. A doc I work with owns it and so we thought we'd swing by and support their fam :) Only annoying thing was all the hornets loving the sweet drippings everywhere.
Seriously such a perfect day. We love our Christensen pals!
