St. George

Mitt had his last state championship mountain bike race in St George one weekend and we realized I had a couple of those days off and Tanner could take a couple days off, so I switched something and we headed down on Thursday so we could watch his race on Saturday. It was a quick little getaway and fun to go because it was the last time we will ever stay at the condo, which was quite bittersweet, even for me...who has only been around the condo a few years...not my whole life like Tanner.

It was fun to do some of our own stuff and great to meet up with cousins for some fun too!

We tried a fun new park.

And kids begged to go to the children's museum down there, so of course we obliged. They love that place!

I didn't take any pictures at the race. It was actually pretty warm and we were there a long time and the kids got bored pretty fast, unless they were playing in the sand. We were all so excited to see Mitt race and he had such a good chance of winning. Unfortunately only 15 minutes into the race he got a flat tire and couldn't get it fixed. He ended up having to take another bike. It was so sad. So disappointing for him and everyone. But he finished the race like a stud. We so wished it could have turned out different for him and he could have raced to his potential, especially since it was his last one, but we were glad we could go be down there and watch and support. And it's always fun to squeeze in a bit of a vacation. (We left late Saturday night since kids had primary program the next day...)
