Utah State Fair

I hadn't been to the Utah State fair in a LONG time. We went to the state fair in North Dakota almost every year we lived up there and it was pretty fun. And pretty typical of any decent sized fair. Like Tanner says, if you've been to one fair, you've been to them all. But I still think it's quite enjoyable to go wander around. We found a day that just about everyone could go.  My mom had recently learned of a broken bone in her foot and so she got pushed around in a wheelchair. Tanner had actually had a vasectomy the day before and wasn't supposed to be walking around so instead of staying home alone, he came along and got pushed around as well. We were quite the caravan. Haha. It was pretty toasty but a super fun day.
Harvey and Greta LOVED the animals.

These baby pigs were so dang cute!

Baby chicks and baby ducks JUST hatched! So awesome.

Eyeing the cow that's getting a little close for comfort

My mom entered the AMAZING quilt she made for Greta in the fair and got a blue ribbon! So proud of her and SO in love with the quilt. It is incredible.

They had a cool little kids farm thing to walk around in and do activities that was quite the hit.

Harvey rode ONE ride.Tanner is quite anti fair rides as he spent a fair number of years working with and around carnival rides/etc and doesn't think they are quite trustworthy :)  He really liked it and didn't get scared at all. Last year when we went to Lagoon, he got on a few rides I think he regretted. Any time they'd go too high or too fast, he was screaming and I was just waving from the sidelines. So it's nice to see he's quite a bit braver this year. Made me REALLY excited for Disneyland in a month.

Lots of help from the aunties!
We took a really long pit stop for dinner and the kids pushed and were pushed around in wheelchairs. We ate lots of goodness and inappropriateness and chatted and laughed fed babies and enjoyed the shade.

This girl is too flippin' cute

The tinies cooperated really well, actually!

We played chase and Frisbee on the lawn while a few more buildings were walked through. And then the kids found a puddle and had the TIME of their lives. Seriously. It was cute and funny. And then not when they were splashing as people walked by. Oops. And then they rode home naked, practically. Fun fun fun day!
