Misc October

A little family night at Scary Hill. Only made it twice there but we had fun both times!

Harv loves the boats. Greta acted like she wanted to try it until I tried to put her in it. But before we left she decided she was brave enough to try...until she drifted too far away, etc. Harvey climbed up the net and around the upper part of the little climbing area and went down a tube slide. He's gotten so much more brave and daring and doing lots of stuff he was afraid to just a couple of months ago.

I feel like Harvey and Greta have become the greatest of friends this month. They play together and laugh together so much all day (don't worry - there's plenty of crying and toy stealing and other frustrations) but it's so fun to see them play together and it's so nice to have them entertain each other when my attention is needed elsewhere.

Bologna sandwich on a fork :)

Scuz face

Happy face!
Harvey's first field trip! To Bowman's grocery store. I was so excited to go. He wasn't really feeling that good and we almost didn't go, but we did a breathing treatment before and he seemed to perk up. I felt like I was going to be more disappointed if we missed it than him. He did pretty good but I think it would have been more enjoyable for him had he been feeling better. Oops. When I asked him what his favorite part was he said "not the cold part....the COOKIE!" Probably Greta's favorite part too.

We met a friend at Artic Circle after so Harvey could play with her son Jack. He was SO excited about it but pretty much whined/cried until this happened. I felt bad for him. He was coughing like crazy.  Poor little guy gets sick in his lungs really easy with the mildest of viral stuff.

Just cause she's beautiful
And she looks enormous next to Lottie! Crazy!

Little family breakfast outing to Criddle's Café in Ogden. First time for all of us but Tanner. Super delicious.

That night we took the kids to Boondocks - Harvey has been begging to go for MONTHS. Finally made good on our promise :)

Greta was too small to do the boats, so we watched. She didn't think that was very cool.

Of course he loved the zombie shooting game the most :/

I thought her outfit and hair were so cute this day and I was trying to get her to pose but she just kept laughing and running away.
My mom started taking piano lessons a few months ago and decided to play in the recital, even though she wasn't "required" to. I was so dang proud of her. She was so nervous but did SOOO good. She didn't want anyone to even come - not even my dad - but we weaseled the info out of her and had a great evening celebrating her and how awesome she is. I love her example of not letting age or fear or anything stop her from her dreams. She gave up so many of them to raise 5 kids and so it's so happy to see so many things coming true for her now! She deserves it!

After party at Leatherby's
We met Laura at the park by our house (the duck park) and I just took these because she was being funny and basically spent the entire time we were there in the swing (almost, anyway). Funny because she was TERRIFIED of swings for so long. Just started loving them a few months ago - but you can't push her too high :)

One of my besties, Steff, came up to hang for a day. She had a baby 4 days after me and we still hadn't met each others newest additions. She has a daughter that's a little over a year older than Harvey but they PLAYED and PLAYED. And just after they left this is what happened. Haha. Except not entirely haha because when he naps late or at all, even, he wakes up in theeeee WORST mood and is usually extremely whiny and hard until bedtime.

Greta and Hudson :)

Oakley and Harv
And today we had Harvey's second field trip. To the Ogden Treehouse Museum. We all tagged along again and it was lots of fun. They started out in this little stage theater room and had an interactive story. It wasn't that good, I have to say and I think Harvey was really bored. He moved up one row at a time and ended up laying down on one of the benches eventually. Luckily it ended sort of quick and then they were released to go play. He ran all over the place and Greta kept her own pace and so I took a lot more pictures of her it seems. Lottie stayed asleep and good most of the time.

That's a "baby" she found and tried carrying it around everywhere
